Favorite Song

My favorite MLSW song is Full Attention. My life sometimes gets so crowded with "living" that I forget that God can make every aspect of my life manageable. As a parent who works and maintains a part time "hustle" sometimes my life gets bogged down with the seemingly important non issues that mask the wonder and awesomeness of God. It is in those moments of complete chaos that God speaks to me in that quiet voice, clears his throat, and says "excuse me... may I have your attention please." For someone like me, it takes that.

The first time I really heard Full Attention I was listening to the song as I was driving home after an emotionally stressful week. Everything that could go wrong had and to top it all of I felt like God had abandoned me. You see I had a very bitter taste in my mouth from previous church home and I was struggling with forgiveness and salvation. As I turned into my driveway Full attention came on and as I sat in the garage I just cried. I realized it was not God who had left me, but God who was waiting for me to give him my attention.

You see the God I serve is a gentleman and he has never once forced his will on me. So, when I let life get in the way that moment of actually allowing this song minister to me reminds that no matter how busy I am I owe it to myself to devote some time to God and give him my "Full Attention". When I do that, everything flows just a little smoother.
